Florida’s new election crimes office flags leftwing ballot-harvesting operation in Orlando
Florida’s new election crimes office is flagging a new ballot harvesting operation in Lake Worth, Florida, the center of the Lake Worth Straw Poll, a local election fraud scheme by the George Soros-backed Institute for Liberty and Democracy. The Orlando Sun Sentinel first reported:
“The Lake Worth Straw Poll in Orange County also serves as a vehicle for political groups and organizations to engage in illegal ballot harvesting and absentee ballot fraud.
“Lake Worth is a city in Orlando with a population of about 48,000 people; it is a large neighborhood, with homes ranging from $200,000 to $500,000.
“The number of people who voted in the Straw Poll through an absentee ballot is unknown, as are the number of people who voted in an early-voting or other absentee ballot.
“The ballot harvesting effort is said to have begun on election night in early November, when volunteers began pulling ballots from people’s mailboxes.
“Officials with the Lake Worth Straw Poll were unable to discover how organizers were getting ballots onto their mailboxes, and how ballots were traveling from people’s homes to the polls.
“The county Elections Commission has asked the Office of State Elections to investigate the activities of the Lake Worth Straw Poll and other illegal ballot harvesting activities.”
What’s “illegal ballot harvesting”?
“Ballot harvesting” means gathering ballots and passing them out to voters. This is not allowed, and is a very dangerous scheme to commit voter fraud.
“Florida’s secretary of state, Ken Detzner, has warned citizens that ballot harvesting is illegal and fraudulent, and that it threatens the integrity of Florida’s elections.”
