Banana thrown at Brazilian players in soccer friendly in Paris.
The official website of the French Football Federation (FFF) has published a video featuring a moment of madness from the recent football friendly played between the French and Brazilian national teams.
The video was shot on the last day of the friendly held at Parc des Princes, Paris, in front of the Brazilian ambassador, and shows a player of the Brazilian team throwing a banana at two French players in particular.
The incident occurred at half time of the match between France and Brazil, when the Brazilians were making a challenge to the French team (which included Zinedine Zidane). The goal of the challenge was to score a penalty from a free kick, from a corner kick.
The video shows the players, who were in the French team and playing at the centre of the pitch, throwing bananas in the direction of the Brazilian players.

A football official explains why he thought the incident was acceptable.
France’s top football official, Jean-Michel Aulas, is reported to have said: “If the French player, who is at the centre of the action, throws a banana in the direction of the Brazilian players, I won’t complain. We should not be discriminating in this way.”
However, the French team’s captain, and captain of the French U-17 and U-21 national teams, Anthony Rougier, says that he cannot understand why the players from the French team could not leave. In the video, Mr. Rougier, says he does not want to see a banana thrown at him by someone belonging to the Brazilian team.
